About John
John was brought up on his father’s arable and stock farm in Shropshire. He was educated at Bedstone College, near Ludlow in the Welsh Marches.

After leaving school, John worked for Collins Publishing House in St James’s London for some while before returning to Shropshire to farm. After deciding to train as a teacher, he attended Christ’s College in Liverpool gaining his degree and teaching certificate. John first taught at Greenacres County Primary School in Shrewsbury before working as a teacher with special needs at Cruckton Hall (EBD) and then at Sunfield (SLD) at Clent.
He has also spent time working abroad first in a private school in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and then in Paphos, Cyprus.
He has travelled extensively and enjoys the large liners, having cruised with Cunard on ‘QE2’ and with P&O on ‘Golden Princess’ and ‘Grand Princess’. He has also visited the Caribbean with Princess Cruises and with Royal Caribbean.
John lives in Worcester and works as a part-time teacher and part-time writer.
